The main objective of Ruthin Festival is to offer entertainment that reflects our community.
Ruthin Festival is a not-for-profit organization that was founded in 1994. We are the largest cultural and musical festival in north east Wales. Our mission is to promote and celebrate the arts, culture, and music of this region. Each year, we host a week-long festival that features performances by local and international artists, art exhibitions, workshops, and family-friendly activities.
Ruthin Festival, the largest cultural and musical festival in north east Wales back in 1994 following the twinning with Brieg in 1994. The festival has constantly and consistently developed in the almost 30 years to become a diverse week of activities, with the highlight being ‘Top of Town’ being held on St Peter’s Square.
The festival is organised by a committee of volunteers, with new officers being elected annually.
